OmniPlayer — All-in-One Video Player

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the OmniPlayer application.

By downloading, installing, or using OmniPlayer ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OmniPlayer, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as any applicable laws and regulations. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Service Description

OmniPlayer is a video playback application for iOS devices. The App provides the following core features:

• Video Playback — Play local video files, photo library videos, and network-based media using the AVPlayer engine.
• Subtitle Management — Download subtitles from third-party services (OpenSubtitles, SubDB, Subscene) and load external subtitle files.
• M3U8 Download — Download and convert M3U8 streaming media to MP4 format using FFmpeg for offline playback.
• DLNA Casting — Stream video to DLNA-compatible devices on your local network using the CocoaUPnP protocol.
• Wi-Fi Upload — Transfer media files to the App over a local HTTP connection via GCDWebServer.
• Privacy Space — Secure selected videos with device-level authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / passcode).
• Background Audio — Continue audio playback when the app is in the background or the device is locked.
• Picture-in-Picture (PiP) — Watch video in a floating window while using other apps.
• Playback Controls — Adjust speed, aspect ratio, brightness, volume; set sleep timer; create AB-loop segments.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use OmniPlayer. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 13, you must not use or access the App. In some jurisdictions, the minimum age may be higher; it is your responsibility to comply with local laws.

4. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, OmniPlayer Team grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on iOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by OmniPlayer Team.

5. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, in whole or in part.
• Distribute, sublicense, lease, rent, or lend the App to any third party.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.
• Use the App to stream or play back pirated or unauthorized content.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App.
• Bypass or attempt to bypass any security measures, digital rights management (DRM), or authentication mechanisms.
• Use the App to distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.

6. User Content and Privacy

6.1 Local Data Only

OmniPlayer operates primarily as a local media player. All video files, subtitles, and playback data are stored locally on your device and within the app's sandboxed storage. The App does not upload your media files to any remote server.

6.2 Permissions

The App may request the following permissions, which you can grant or deny at any time through your device settings:

• Photo Library Access — Required to import and play videos from your photo library.
• Notifications — Used to inform you when background downloads are complete.
• Network Access — Required for subtitle downloads, DLNA casting, Wi-Fi upload, and M3U8 downloads.
• Face ID / Touch ID — Used exclusively to authenticate access to the Privacy Space feature.

6.3 Privacy Space

The Privacy Space feature uses device-level biometric or passcode authentication to restrict access to designated videos. Protected videos are stored within the app's sandbox and are logically isolated from the main library. OmniPlayer Team cannot access, recover, or decrypt your private content.

6.4 Third-Party Subtitle Services

When you use the subtitle search feature, the App sends your video file's hash value (not the video content itself) to third-party subtitle providers (OpenSubtitles, SubDB, Subscene) to locate matching subtitles. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. OmniPlayer Team is not responsible for the data handling practices of these third parties.

7. Third-Party Services and Open Source Components

7.1 Open Source Components

OmniPlayer incorporates the following open source libraries, each governed by its own license:

• CocoaUPnP — DLNA/UPnP media streaming (MIT License)
• GCDWebServer — Local HTTP server for Wi-Fi upload (MIT License)
• ffmpegkit — M3U8 to MP4 conversion (LGPL / GPL License)
• KeychainAccess — Secure credential storage for Privacy Space (MIT License)

Attribution and license texts for these components are available within the App's "About" screen.

7.3 Disclaimer for Third-Party Services

The App provides integration with third-party subtitle services. OmniPlayer Team does not host, generate, or moderate subtitle content. You use these services at your own risk. The availability and accuracy of subtitles depend entirely on the respective service providers.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, graphics, icons, and branding, is owned by OmniPlayer Team and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the "OmniPlayer" name, logo, or branding for any purpose.

All media content played through the App is the property of its respective owners. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to access and play any content you use with the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OmniPlayer Team disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any subtitle data obtained through integrated third-party services.

You assume all risk for any damage to your device or loss of data resulting from the use of the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OMNIPLAYER TEAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES arising out of or relating to your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, content, or media files.
• Loss of profits, business, or goodwill.
• Device damage or malfunction.
• Unauthorized access to your device or content resulting from the use of third-party services.

OmniPlayer Team's total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OmniPlayer Team, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the App in violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
• Any content you play, stream, or share using the App.

12. Termination

These Terms are effective from the moment you first use the App and remain in effect until terminated. OmniPlayer Team reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination:

• The license granted to you will immediately cease.
• You must uninstall and cease all use of the App.
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) shall survive.

13. Changes to Terms

OmniPlayer Team reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will become effective upon posting the revised Terms within the App or on our website. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent court in the location of OmniPlayer Team's principal place of business.
